Barbara is a witch and a judge of the American Wizardry government within the Department of Magic. She was the one who let Lord Alex go for his crime of distributing Dragon Breath and the person who suspended the defendant, Beifar Mahgo, from his position as an agent in the Department of Magical Criminal Investigations indefinitely.[1]

History[edit | edit source]

Early life[edit | edit source]

Not much is known about Judge Barbara's prior life, though it does seem like she knows Bastian Semisecret, the Chief of the Department of Magical Criminal Investigations, and that she owes him a few favors.[1]

Trial of Lord Alex[edit | edit source]

Following DMCI Agent Beifar Mahgo's attack on Lord Alex at Alex's own company, Lord Alex Distribution Inc.,[2] Lord Alex pressed charges against the wizard agent. Beifar had tried to argue that Lord Alex had sold the illegal magical herb, Dragon Breath, to the criminal Raven Claw. However, somehow Lord Alex managed to turn the courtroom in his favor and get out of a sentence, while Barbara, the juge of the case, suspended Beifar Mahgo indefinitely from his services in the DMCI.

During the trial, Judge Barbara sat high upon her court bench in the center of the circular, audotirum-like courtroom, towering over everyone. Several times she attempted to bring order to the courtroom which continously erupted into chaos by her rulings and the comments of the court-appointed defense attorney, which she did by pounding her wooden desk with her mallet.

Judge Barbara also placed a restraining order on Agent Mahgo so that if he'd be seen anywhere near Alex or any of his associates or properties, he would be charged and dealt with accordingly. She then declared that Agent Mahgo may meet with his superior and carry out his recommendations. Then she adjourned the court.[1]

Following Judge Barbara's ruling, and before her teleporting away, a reporter called on her for a quick photo for the press, to which she turned to the press seats and forced an impatient smile. As soon as the cameras had clicked and the bulbs flashed, Judge Barbara vanished in a quick flash of light.

Bastian Semisecret, Chief of the DMCI, told Beifar Mahgo of the few favors Judge Barbara owed him, and said that he would use them ask her in the morning to revert his suspension from the DMCI.[1]

Physical appearance[edit | edit source]

Not much is known about Barbara. She is a woman, and while serving in the courtroom as a judge she is dressed in long robes.[1]
