The identification spell (Agnosco) reveals anyone's name when enchanted by the spell. It can also be cast on an image of someone in a crystal ball. When cast, a voice will whisper the name of the person.[1]
The spell can also be used to reveal the face of someone whose face is hidden somehow, for instance by a hood. It can be used on auras of people that have lingered in an area, which is used by investigators to find the identities of people involved in crimes.
Etymology[]
Agnosco is a Latin verb meaning: recognize, realize, discern; acknowledge, claim.
